Learning together. Inspiring each other.
Willow basket in progress, by Lauren.

We are inspired by the realm of primitive skills and want to share what we've learned in an ongoing series of workshops, hosted in our yurt. Yurts are a great space to learn together.
Primitive skills include: brain tanning hides, friction fire, wet felting raw wool, plant dyes, making cordage from plant materials, basket weaving and more. We teach where we feel able, and we invite resource people as well. We discovered this world of skills at Winter Count, AZ, several years ago. We continued learning more at Saskatoon Circle near Twisp, WA, a little closer to home. With enough interest, we'd love to start one here in the Kootenays!
